Simple. Sustainable.
Our Philosophy
focused on sustainability
Our vineyard manager, Bruce Sonnen, has dedicated his career to farming grapes sustainably — and currently serves as the Chair of LIVE Certifed.
Being stewards of the land in this special plot of earth is our highest calling. We’re honored to be the guardians of these 82 acres of land.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We are driven and inspired every day to create something of unique value that will endure beyond our vineyard and build upon the reputation and prestige of the Van Duzer Corridor, an Oregon AVA that has only just begun to reveal its secrets.
Our Winemaker
Eric Misiewicz
Our winemaker, Eric, was raised in New Hampshire where he spent his summers working on local vegetable farms. This inspired a love for the land, leading him to Cornell University, where he received a degree in Viticulture and Enology.
His passion for wine led him around the globe, doing winemaking stints in New York, Spain and Australia before spending several years in the Napa Valley honing his craft.
After a decade as a globetrotting winemaker, his passion for the lively and bright wines we produce here in Oregon brought him home to the Willamette Valley.
STAYING ACCOUNTABLE
LIVe CerTifieD
We believe that if we take care of the land, the land will take care of us.
That’s why we’re proud to be certified by LIVE (Low Input Viticulture and Enology), a renowned non-profit based here in Oregon that supports environmentally and socially responsible winegrowing that was founded 25 years ago (just like us).
We’re also proud to be named ‘Heroes of Salmon’ by Salmon Safe and certified through IOBC for our integrated and sustainable pest control measures.
Our Passion
Conservation
We’re also passionate about conservation and are proud of our efforts to aid in preservation of the native oak savannas on our property, as well as working with the US Fish & Wildlife department to preserve habitat for the endangered Blue Fender butterfly.
