Soap Making with Rough Cut Soap Co.
Join us on Friday, April 25th, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Van Duzer for a unique and immersive evening of soap-making with Darcy from Rough Cut Soap Company. This is your exclusive opportunity to craft your own natural cold-process soap using a luxurious blend of pure plant oils, tallow, and butters from cocoa, mango, and shea. To add a special Van Duzer touch, we will be using the soil from our vineyard as inspiration for creating a soap that mimics the scents that we associate with the wines produced here at the Van Duzer estate!
Throughout the class, you’ll actively participate in each step—measuring, saponifying, and incorporating natural additives in a safe, guided environment. After we’ve poured the soap, we’ll allow it to harden for 3-5 days. Don’t worry, Rough Cut Soap will take care of all the cutting for you! Keep in mind that cold-process soap requires four weeks to fully cure, so you’ll either need to arrange for shipping or pick up your custom soaps here at Van Duzer. Trust us, the wait will be well worth it!
The class is $55 per person ($50 for club members), includes a glass of Van Duzer wine, and is open to those 21 and older.
